6. Contract description
The Program “Support for the Improvement of local governance”, an EU funded program implemented by the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR), rests on the participative Approach and Strategic planning in the process of local development with the elected people of the local communities as well as the Civil Society in 12 Lebanese Municipal Clusters that count around 208 municipalities.
This project is composed of 3 essential components: the creation of Local Development Offices, the development of decentralized cooperation with European local communities and the technical assistance to municipalities
The component concerning the creation of Local Development Offices is going to be accompanied by a graphic visual support, signaletiques, which constitute an important element to consolidating the concept of “Territory” and which purpose is to contribute to the visibility of the project and to prepare the tourist as well as the geographic base that supports the local development projects whatever their nature (tourist, patrimonial, agricultural, etc…)
